I would say avoiding the offenders is more important for health as long as you get enough calcium and protein in your diet. PUFA is the worst! starchy food that give stomach issues should be avoided until your digestion is fixed.. too much seafood is not that great either because of histamine and copper issues.. Well tolerated protein source and well tolerated calcium source while avoiding PUFA and offending food like some starch (individual basis) is a safe bet, I would assume.. And not overdosing fiber even if that fiber is carrots or mushrooms...
