Iron Oxides In Makeup?

Hi,
Does anyone have information on whether the iron pigments in foundation and eye shadow cause free radicals on the skin surface? Makeup has been known to oxidize over the course of a day but I don't know if this is contained to the makeup particles, or is bad for the skin too.

I would assume that the toxic ingredients are being absorbed by the skin. Somewhere Ray talks about the danger of plain mineral oil in cosmetics. Ingredients like iron, titanium, and cadmium sound like things to avoid.
