Sumo wrestlers purposefully try to get fat as possible. That's how they gain weight, it helps to be fasted when doing their intense training so their fatasses don't vomit up their breakfast. Its even harder to overeat in 2 meals then in 3, but that would be my guess why they skip the first meal.

I imagine a human trying to gain as much fat as possible wouldn’t partake in an eating schedule that is touted as the cure to excess fat mass.

Do whatever you like, take as many drugs as you like. You cannot get lean with out a caloric deficit and likewise if you overeat you will get fat.

That is an idiotic notion. Imagine telling someone that has been sleep deprived since childhood and even for generations to set an alarm clock so that they don't sleep too much. Sure in the short term it’ll work, but in the long term they will pay for it big time.

They avoid eating in the mornings because they do intense exercise for hours. Otherwise if they did they would vomit it up 100%. That's what you are not understanding.
