Insulin Resistance

I am trying to understand better whether or not I have insulin resistance.

My FBG is always in the 70’s to low 80’s; PERFECT

My H1AC has either been at 4.6-4.7; PERFECT

Fasting Insulin- high teens to low 20’s; TERRIBLE

What gives? As another measure, my SHBG is chronically low. Insulin directly decreases SHBG. I am a guy on TRT and SHBG is a big marker we look at.

My insulin was 28, while A1C was 5.0. And this was while low carb dieting. I'm would like to try RP foods but am worried about blood sugar and insulin. Have been IR for some time. And heavy.
