Here's a little video I made up on how to post pictures and control where they go. Hope it helps.

You can double click the video screen to make it fullsize. Or you can download the entire video by click on the link below the video viewer.

Thanks, Charlie.
Excellent video.
Haven't had a chance to try it out, but I will soon.

In the row of buttons at the top of our "Post a Reply" box,
with "B" and "i", etc...
...what is the "Img" button for...?

No problem, I am going to get some more instructional videos going. It will take some time though because I have some other pressing issues right now.

That "Img" tag is if you want to pull an image from somewhere and just use the URL location of the image. So you would right click whatever image you want, and then copy address, then put the link between the tags.

Like so, thank you Google for letting me borrow your image off your front page.

Here is another example from our board, Ray Peats pic from the first page.

So, right click over picture you want, then, copy image address, then, place copy the address in between the "Img" tag.

There is only one thing bad about this. If for some reason the website you borrowed the image from takes the image down from their site, then, it wont work here either. So, the best way to do it is, save the image onto your computer, then upload it via the "attachments" feature and then post it up as described in the first post of this thread.

Hope this helps.

More tutorials will be coming in the future.

I see 3 ways to do this ...

1) Upload image to this server as an attachment and use inline placement.

2) Save image to your PC, upload it to an image hosting server, and use its new URL address with the tag.

Issue: Hosting server goes offline.

3) Use an image's URL address with the [Img] tag.

Issues: Image location changes, or image deleted.
