Inosine v. Zopiclone

I’ve been planning on trying out inosine but think it might interact with my sleeping medication. Zopiclone and inosine have similar structure (1) and affinities (2). Lower concentrations of inosine seems to be antagonistic of the benzodiazepine receptor since it binds to the chloride ionophore site, whereas higher concentrations seem to bind directly to the benzodiazepine receptor and illicit benzodiazepine-like effect (3).

Inosine has a 15 h half life. Could this be a dangerous interaction? I’m not worried about any temporary competitive inhibition on inosines part, but it would be nice to know if zopiclone can be used safely if I have insomnia when I try it. I'm planning on taking 0.5-1 grams of inosine.

Thankful for input.

Have you tried it in the way you intended?
Yeah, I tried them together. Inosine was more stimulating than sedating for me. Zopiclone may have been synergistic with inosine. I'm off Zopiclone now though, thankfully.
