Hi guys

I hear a lot people get ingrown hairs/red bumps/keratosis pilaris when increasing dairy?

Is there a link between dairy and these factors or is there no correlation?

Could it be the skin cells are shedding too fast and causing this factors or is it just genetic.

The usual places these show up on is the arms and legs.

Thanks :D

I've found mine is a little better with dairy, but generally find particular diet changes to be short lived in their effects on KP, although revving up thyroid function seems like a good bet.

Sunshine and exposure to air is the only success for me, except I never get much in the UK

This doesn't really answer your question, but I had ingrown hairs improve when I started Peat-ing. It's hard to narrow down what helped, perhaps the increased vitamin A from liver as Peat has mentioned. But in my case, the additional dairy was at least "canceled out".

Ingrown hair is usually a sign of not enough vitamin A.
It can get worse when you get a lot of sunlight.
I need more liver during summer than during winter.
