Thanks for the details... fascinating. I take around 500mg of niacinamide in some OJ once a day and don't notice a thing...

Grumpy, I thought of something else related to this. That 500 mg gets washed out of your body in a few hours. Naturopaths will tell you to take 250 mg 6 times a day.

When I took the time-released formula, that was like 100 mg every half hour. There was more hitting as the other wore off.

With the every three hours method, you've got good coverage the entire time you're awake.

Your 500 mg might work better for you for this purpose if you split them up into a bunch of smaller doses taken throughout the day.

I was thinking about it the other day how funny it is that sugar and salt have been demonized, but it is the very first thing that they feed people through IV in the hospital. You hardly see anybody leaving the hospital fatter after a long stay.
