i have learnt that calcium magnesium and phosphorus ratio's are important.
- calcium magnesium 1:1
- Calcium should be equal or greater than phosphorous.

But every-time i increase my calcium intake i have got constipated.
it doesn't matter if calcium from dairy or from eggshell powder, i have tried both and both cause constipation.
When i ditch it all, constipation is gone.
Increasing magnesium (2-3 grams a day) seems help a very little but definitely not enough.
Even with fructose and fiber from 12-15 apples a day doesn't help.

any idea's?

too high and too low Calcium intake can cause these problems.
With D supplementation,i never could handle above 1000mg of Ca.

Perhaps your body absorb calcium with a greater efficiency than the norm, so it stays more "outside" your body.
Or it absorb less because your store are full, or because you misses something for absorbing it, or because your gut is inneficient at absorbing it ?

Perhaps full fat dairy with all its K2 content is the solution.

I think too much milk drinking can lead to constipation. I mean its a heavy food after all especially when its heated, cooled and frozen.

I find potassium is the other mineral along with magnesium that helps keep things moving. I take potassium gluconate powder from NOW in glass of water.
