So i need a thermo food jar so i can take hot food to my job and have after 8 hours still hot food.
So i'm a little familiar with the chemical leaking issues from plastic and metals but i need some more advice of this.
After a little search I ran into Thermos:
(710ml)
or
(1389ml)
47oz Stainless Steel Food Jar | Insulated Food Containers | Thermos
These brand makes thermos products with no bpa, no interior coating. lead free, 18/8 stainless steel.
The straw spout is made of silicone and the stem is made of LDPE (low-density polyethylene).
They use Foogo stainless steel products inhibit bacteria growt.
For more technical information: FAQ
This sound good right? what do you guys think? Is this thing safe to use?
So not.. then I came up with the idea to buy this one.
(2000ml)
2 L Stainless Steel Isothermal 2-Compartment Food Box
This one is bigger and cheaper (2000ml)
I think these one isolate less that Thermos thus and its less safe (leakage) BUT my idea is to replace the 2 blue plastic food compartments for a jar of glass (hope i can find one that fits perfectly).
So the jar of glass safes the food from metal leakage.
What do you think?
Other ideas are also welcome
