I have nothing to gain from absenting right now since I have no aspirations even when absenting.
I will stop cooming if I meet someone or want to advance my career.
My health is great right now so the negative effects of cooming are a fraction of what they were before

You may not care, but you cannot have provided a better illustration of relating to your world digitally. Thank you.

Also “noooooo you can’t just heckin use someone’s opinion or artistic output as judgement of their wider character noooo don’t dooo that it’s digital you have to endlessly weigh and consider everyone’s opinion or else you’re digital noooooooo not the heckin digital relations!!!”

Come on. Some things are just true and having the gall to tell your world view and call someone else’s sad and arrogant and then attach a high school emo poem named “lucifer” after quotes by an acclaimed historical artist great like William Blake is regarded is hyper cringe. Let’s just be real.

I try more to not wholly disregard people’s opinions because they might have other valuable stuff to add but also it’s a useful thing to be able to just tune stuff out .

Come on
„Stop being digital“ he types on his iphone 11 made of rare metals scathered in african mines, as his wife is in her last steps of preparing the soy-bolognese for their gluten free pasta. Suddenly: „braaaaaaaaaaad, dinner is ready. Don’t forget to knock on stacies door before telling her, she has chad over.“ brad gets up and almost forgets to clear his browser history before leaving. „****“, he says, „that was close.“

I laughed a lot at this . Oh boy.

Not really and if I would channel a lot of energy it would be to advance my career which would automatically mean that I had no more brain capacity to worry about ***t
Right now I‘m just enjoying being at my best health for a long time, getting paid for doing almost nothing, working out, sleeping a lot, rotting in front of my computer, that sort of ***t.
Im kind of embracing the rotting and am not even being fake about it anymore to others lol. I’m starting to arrange myself with my lonely situation in the pandemic and just trolling all day on whatsapp with friends i see twice a year in person. I’ll maybe put a total of 30 minutes a day in reading stuff that is actually interesting or intellectually challenging. Apart from that it’s memes, porn, youtube and this meme forum when it comes to online activity.
Basically I am in a hypersarcastic state right now and am not planning to leave it anytime soon.

im genuinely curious how you make money

I’m a student and got a job at university for 20hr/week in which I am on average working 2h/week. I factually have already completed my masters with nothing but A‘s but have not handed in my thesis because i lose my job when I’m done.
Makes me 1k €/month and completely tax free. After I payed my flat+insurance I have 500€+ every month to spend and its cheap here.
Given my grades I can find a wageslave job later whenever I want, but it’s hardly going to raise my living standards a lot because it will be in a more expensive city and I will have to pay taxes on my salary
So basically I’m just ******* around all day lol

You’re using example and then when he deconstructs it you go “lol it was just an anecdote, your worldview is sad”
Same with other negative responses to ableton. His truths are annoying to you because you’ve got your own bubble of positivity and you don’t seem to like when another perspective tells you how it is for them and others. The fact you resort to calling him arrogant and rude is funny to me as all I see is him explaining his perspective which you other user continue to essentially prove with some of your comments. @managing wife prefer short guys but settled for a tall guy and your beautiful model friend meets incels online and valiantly deflowers them for sake of humanity. And then you call ableton whatever you called him for calling out how rare that is . It’s funny the more you explain the more you confirm the opposing view
He didn't deconstruct it. I never even said the virgin guy was unattractive, which he assumed. The point was that people are more complex and not so superficial as Ableton was making them to be. People have sexual and other relationships with people based on genuine care for the needs of others and/or based on own needs which can be wider then just wanting to hook up with a guy who's tall and sexy and not bald. His perspective is not annoying to me and I never said there's no truth in his perspective. I didn't say his wordview is sad, just bafflingly narrow. I don't even see his view as an opposing view. The straw man you are imagining doesn't exist.

"your beautiful model friend meets incels online and valiantly deflowers them for sake of humanity"

This ridiculous straw man you are creating came out of thin air. That was just one tiny little example that a hot girl can hook up with a guy based on A) genuinely doing a favor to another human being out of sympathy B) wanting to feel "worshipped" and special. Nothing to do with the guy being tall and sexy. I never said hot guys don't get more sexy time then ugly guys. And Ableton's point at that point was that our culture is increasingly shifting towards that direction. I think it's been like that since the dawn of man. And I was just being a devil's advocate and thinking that people are increasingly getting more interested in the internal world of each others and even celebrating being fat and funny looking etc.
(I can't believe we are talking about this. Sorry for hijacking the thread with this BS.)

Thinking he knows the inner world of someone's wife he has never even met is arrogant.

or the next guy: "I'm not so sure about that man. I have heard of this unattractive guy losing his virginity. At 29."
Making fun of me (based on a straw man he got from not understanding my point) is rude. The anecdote about the hot girl and the virgin was just a casual sidetrack based on this:
Actions matter a lot more than words when it comes to this

This conversation is pretty much pointless at this point. This thread is starting to be a great example of the limitations of the digital culture, in the literal computer/internet sense of the word.

This poem of yours is objectively terrible.
Art is subjective. I like my poem but you don't have to. No need to be a rude prick. I don't think it's cringe to try to communicate my wordview. It's just a poem bro. You illustrate well the accuracy of it so thank you.
I have no delusions of thinking it's as great as William Blake's poems.

My English is not adequate enough to engage with your posts in the way I’d like and I don’t use translation software.
Just let me broadly and inadequately ssy that I enjoy reading your posts in this thread. A lot of clever stuff, though your assessment of late Travis is to wholesale (and therefore wrong in parts. In a very General sense in the vein of digital/analog duality also true)

Two questions if you allow:
I‘m too old or detached for some internet things. Why and how so is RPF a meme of other Internet-places? I don’t get that? What aspects. The quality here declines, sure. But there is a lot of things discussed here that is rather unique isn’t it?

Where are you located if you please? Europe that’s clear because of € but are you not an English native?

Yeah I definitely do. But it doesn’t bother me because it’s temporal . ill Start exercises for it now actually because I’m starting to train again and Peenor training has an important part. I saw Chinese guys lifting 50kg with his wiener .

It's seen as a coping forum. It is acknowledged that the diet/thyroid approach is good/can be good/is interesting. But this place here is seen as coping hard because it doesn't ackknowledge that you can hardly have everything in life. There are threads here popping up about progesterone regrowing lost hands. Progesterone has benefits, so it also must be androgenic! That is, if you take some steroids with it. You have a whole subforum here discussing in ten thousands of posts that androgens do not cause hair loss. People here are afraid to eat some broccoli because veggies bad. People here will force milk in themselves despite not tolerating it. People here want to hack every little problem they have with another supplement while literally any healthy and normal person I know IRL does not give 2 shits.
It's obvious this place is full of neurosis and I'll freely admit this place caused neurosis in myself as well before my health improved by following my instincts and I started seeing through more ***t, including my own coping attempts in engaging with the content here. I got nice takeaways from Ray Peat: do not undereat, have some sugar, avoid pufa. But that's about as much as you need to know. 99% of your dietary and lifestyle approach should be based on self observation in a dogmatic vacuum and instincts, not threads popping up here.
I'm not going to doxx myself but I'm not english.

dude. your anecdote was complete and utter garbage. our argument started by me saying ugly guys get less, hot guys more chances. you said, it's not true and give us a ******* anecdote of a 29 year old virgin. are you ******* serious? keep coping with your trash poems man. no one gives a ***t about average writers and soyboys complaining about "rude" people online. enhance the debate or shut the **** up.

I agree with you about the forum to an extent, its understandable because people are sick, but i dont agree with you on Rays information being largely useless. Ray operates on a level of truth no matter the cost. So if he sees research about a certain food having harmful effects, he's going to explain why it does so. However, most people who are sick, and have high serotonin and neurosis, can't handle to receive the truth because it triggers fear in them because they perceive harm to themselves. For example, Ray will say vegetables have some anti-nutrients and are hard to digest and can cause gas, because objectively this is true. however when someone whos sick sees this, they get scared to ever eat the food because they cant take in truth without removing themselves from the equation. Therefore, Ray for himself makes the best decision possible when it comes to the food, and reports the truth about how things effect the body but he doesn't fear being forced to eat something if needs the nutrients and there's not a better way to get them. I would say all of his research is incredibly beneficial, however being able to handle the information without letting it control your emotions is very important. I think that's why he focuses on lowering serotonin, because until someone can truly lower serotonin, they can't ever handle information in a proper fashion. And you say any healthy and normal person you know does not give 2 shits, well the average person mindlessly watches sports and goes to a sales job and eats like ***t until they get some disease and get prescribed drugs and never thinking anything of it. Id rather know the truth of how things work then just not caring and acting purely on instints. Instincts alone would work in a perfect environment, but literally every food is compromised through bad production, so there has to be a sense of knowledge without letting it instill fear in you.

good post but
1. you are basically outsourcing the problems people here have to some physiological states (high serotonin etc.) and
2. you imply there is an objective truth to reality

I have taken cyproheptadine before and guess what? It made my neurosis worse, if anything, despite me having low as **** serotonin. "Hacks" don't work because we still know nothing (point 2). You are literally better off taking a walk, calling your dad or preparing food than creating the next thread "how can i raise my ALDOTESTOSTERONE and DIHYDROPROGESTERONE".

I also think instincts work in a non perfect environment. Instincts make you adapt to it. Actually, before knowing peat as a teenager, I already instictually followed him pretty closely before dogmas took that and my health. dogmas in this forum = dogmas like veganism. the principle is the same. its culture overriding your nature, and thats bad.

you are right that the average person is a drone and that I shouldn't be taking them as example

yea but Peat has never said cyproheptadine does xyz in every person. He's stated its in antihistamine, and could possibly alleviate certain symptoms while having unpleasant side effects and its effects people differently. The problem is, and I think we agree, that this forum take Rays research and declares a universal application to it fooling ordinary people into doing (potentially) harmful things (although it may benefit many people too). I should clarify my last post by objective research, I meant he reports the research in an objective manner, however he understands its application varies strongly based off the individual. The average individual however will take the research and read it non-objectively, instead including their emotion on how they view the statement. It happened to me to although not with this forum, where I took ashwaganda because I saw some youtuber say it does a bunch of beneficial things and I was super excited to take it, and had a horrible stress reaction. But ultimately, thats just how the world works and you have to experience things to know the truth for yourself, and this forum does have the potential to promote a lack of "knowing" for yourself. However I think Rays research, especially his own articles in his own words, are extremely important and he doesn't say anything which forces people to think a certain way. This forum however, does include a lot of people who state things as definitive, but I don't think its the fault of this forum specifically, its mainly that most human beings in general have this tendency.

agreed for the most part. but look at travis. definitely not an ordinary person. and this forum, I am quite sure, has done more harm than good for him. Meaning that your IQ is hardly relevant if your approach to health is "hacking" it. That ***t don't work. Being able to use this forum in a good way requires critical thinking and observational skills, and not "high IQ". The "high IQ" approach of conducting a dozen studies to prove a point that a progesterone hack works is actually "dumb" because it fails to address that we do not understand nature well and that we are individuals. hacks are a dead end.
