Hypothetical Quesiton Regarding Progesterone

If one was on TRT (100-150 mg of testosterone propionate) a week with aromasin 6.5mg daily what would the effects of a larger dose or large dose of progesterone do?

Since large doses apparently lower testosterone in men wouldn't I reap benefits with little to no negatives?

Hypothetical until I try a massive dose 500 mg + of progesterone

Progesterone is not an androgen receptor antagonist so you should reap all the benefits of testosterone while using progesterone. The progesterone might just amplify the effects of testosterone because it's such as potent cortisol antagonist.

Ironically, that is exactly the treatment for male contraception, exogenous testosterone+progestogen in all the studies and this is not new stuff. So it is not about not having an erection, it's about being infertile. Lots of studies. None the less, people will say well it's synthetic, everything is synthetic, not even levothyroxine is identical to actual T4, just a synthetic thyroid hormone

Testosterone/progestin regimens: a realistic option for male contraception? - PubMed - NCBI

Hormonal Approaches to Male contraception

"Clinical trials have demonstrated that if sperm output is suppressed to very low levels by exogenous testosterone alone or with a progestin, contraceptive efficacy is comparable to female methods such as the contraceptive pill. Current studies are optimizing the method of delivery of the hormones and the progestin to use in combination with testosterone. New modified androgens are in development that may be more potent than testosterone and non steroidal compounds will allow the flexibility of delivering and androgens as oral pill, transdermal gels or implants. Input and support by industry will accelerate the availability of a male contraceptive method which could be administered as an injectable, implant, oral pill or transdermal gel."

Keep in mind that progestins are not the same as bioidentical progesterone, unless otherwise stated.

Aware of that, you will not see bioidentical in these studies, can't be patented, that is why so many synthetic exist, but the same is with other hormones too.
