You mentioned avoiding opioids, dairy and wheat, but in that same space I think you could write about the counters to those foods, namely coffee and pineapple (or bromelain), respectively.

i would be interested in a protocol for mothers who are wrapping up pregnancy and breastfeeding chapter of their lives and are eager to get hormonal levels, especially prolactin levels, optimized. I wonder how long it takes, after ending breastfeeding, for prolactin levels to go down, and whether some of the strategies Hans describes would be advisable for a woman trying to wean baby.

Also are high prolactin levels while nursing implicated in metabolic problems? Anecdotally I’ve heard of many women who say they couldn’t lose weight until their babies weaned. Usually this is ascribed to massive appetite while nursing (I haven’t found this to be true but it makes sense). And I know very very few mothers—especially mothers in their thirties—who come out of pregnancy and maternity without being fat or skinny fat.

Nice. Well done.

metergoline works well and has few or no side effects.
Yes good one, but I'd start with natural supplements, such as vitamin E, Tribulus, Mucuna, etc., first to see if I can lower prolactin, but if someone is up for a drug, then that is a good one.

Yes good point. Medium roast being the best. :)

Wow man, very comprehensive, doing gods work there. Thanks!
Thanks man!

Quite a few people anecdotally mention in the Metergoline thread (and I think someone even done labs), that it didn't reduce their prolactin levels? Any ideas why this might be the case?

I don't see how that's possible. These products are quite reliable.

Do you believe that porn and masturbation/ejaculation [especially if one has an addiction/severe frequency] has a significant effect on prolactin levels and overall hormonal balance/imbalance?
