Hello.

Is there a way to increase the circulation iron (serum iron) without increase the storage form (ferritin)?

I am asking this because my ferritin is high (190 ng/ml, reference 22- 322) but my serum iron is low (60 ug/dl), so this can be the reason why I cannot tolerate T3 or increase my Syntroid from 75 to 88 mcg.

My TIBC is low ( 290 ug/dl, reference 250 – 450) and my saturation is 21%.

If I increase my meat consumption my serum iron will increase, but my ferritin will to?

If I take calcium whit the meat it will block the iron absorption?

Maybe IP6 will get iron from the storage form to the circulation form, is this possible?

I am addressing possible ways that interferes whit thyroid utilization. Cortisol I think is already good, since my 8:00 am serum cortisol is at top of the reference range, and I had tested taking adrenal cortex supplements and don’t feel any improvement. So the question is now Iron.

He mentioned ESR also, in addition to CRP.
Maybe someone with more knowledge on inflammation tests could recommed others?
