How To Gauge The Effectiveness Of Topical Vitamin Administration/etc.

Basically how do I know how well it's being absorbed? I use DHEA and K2 MK4 topically (both powders initially). I use palm oil, stearic acid and coconut oil + other fats to try and dissolve them prior to rubbing on the skin -- then I leave it there as long as I can before rinsing it off. The thing in the back of my mind is how effective this is and how well the absorption is overall (could be so low as to be insignificant). I don't want to go overboard -- or go too low to not be effective much either.

I also use some ethanol sometimes with or in place of fats to see if it improves absorption.

Any tips here on mixing/dissolving and stuff? I don't use DMSO or etc. -- just ethanol and/or fats. How effective is this and/or how could I adjust to make it more effective?

Seems it's hard to know -- estimates just show that there is some skin bioavailabilty but not very much probably with fats and ethanol.
