How can I make Antigen tests negative without putting the swap into my nose?

Does anyone know why covid test with stick in the nose are different in different locations? At one testing center, I usually get a terrible chemical smell in my nose after testing, in another - zero. As if they used totally dry stick. My colleague said she always get only non smelling tests.

It always is negative. I did not even put the swab into my nose yesterday.

Does spitting on it work in terms of receiving a test result? I don’t want it near my nose and need to start testing next week to keep employment.

I tried wetting my fingers with saliva and wrapped it around the swab a few times and it has always been negative.
There is an option on the test when it is invalid (2 red stripes if I remember correctly) but this has not ever happened yet.
It is made to be negative otherwise it would be apparent what a bad test it is (not to mention that Antigens do not mean anything special anyway)
