https://raypeatforum.com/forums/posts/96159/ Well suffering and meditation have been observed to effect deviations in random number generators around the world, which could perhaps give a practical use for ritual sacrifices, for example.

For those interested in what the heck Such is talking about, here is the link to learn more:

I was actually involved with the project long time ago and I think it's pretty cool.

What part did you have?

Back in 2007-2008 I helped run some statistical tests for randomness over the data collected around the time of the 2004 earthquake. Basically, I was generating sliding windows of random length over the data sequence and checking that window itself for randomness. When a window would fail one or more randomness tests I would pass it along to the project lead so he/she can match it to real-world events. I am personally convinced that the project is really detecting something akin to a global consciousness, but the popular press and "scientific" reviews of the project have not been very favorable.

Nice, did you notice it going routinely crazy like that or was it really obvious when it did? I got a friend who just loves this stuff (that's why we are friends). Check out http://www.collective-evolution.com/201 ... -distance/ and http://www.neuroquantology.com/index.ph ... ew/767/663

I don't think it was routinely since I only got a few STRONG spikes in non-randomness, but the analysis was blinded so that I would not know what date sequences I was analyzing. But the project lead to whom I sent my results later told me that two of the biggest spikes matched perfectly the 2004 earthquake and the tsunami a few hours later. He sent me other matches as well, I just don't remember what they all were. One was a big stock market crash, another was something about Iraq (I think the Falluja events).
Thanks for the links, very interesting!
