Hoping some others with more knowledge and ability to read studies (and maybe access to the full study) can provide more context, but saw this and thought it was interesting: As FT4 Levels Rise, so Does Sudden Cardiac Death. Abstract here: http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/134/10/713
I wonder if a high FT4 may be reflective of an inability to convert to T3. It was a small sample as well, I guess. I also don't see if there is any indication as to whether any of the study participants were on medication, such as T4 only, which might skew the results.
Interesting anyway, considering the relationship between thyroid health and heart disease.
