Hi all! I am new to diving into everything Ray Peat. I've eaten "pro metabolically" but only half-assed the past year. Surprise surprise, this led to weight gain. My most recent labs (not super recent, 6 months ago) showed my DHEA at 475.0 H which seems high! Testerone seemed normal, according to their baseline range. I supplement progesterone and recently started taking Ovasitol.
Based on my temps I am slightly hypothyroid, and my pulse is generally a little higher than it should be right around 85-95, so I know that means I have a bit of a cortisol problem/ higher adrenaline. I want to slowly reduce starches, add more sugars slowwwlly, and reduce fat to help lose weight.
My question is where to gain more info if I could have PCOS? Would you suggest more testing? OR just do this nutrition longer and see how it goes? I wasn't able to find anything on what high DHEA could be on this forum, only people supplementing it. Any help appreciated!
