I have been told by my eye doctor that I have intraocular pressure. When I wake up in the morning one or both of my eyes are very cloudy and sore to the touch due to pressure. It dissipates pretty quickly, but sometimes I experience the pain throughout the day.

Any advice as to how to resolve this? I'm was told that blindness is a concern.

Eat soluble fiber, it is good for lowering blood pressure and liver heat (fatty liver).

Mean Intraocular Pressure levels significantly and linearly increased with increasing Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease grades.

The liver meridian is connected to the eyes, and the visual ability mainly relies on the nourishment of liver blood. Therefore, the eyes can reflect the function of the liver: insufficient liver blood may cause dry eyes and blurred vision; hyperactivity of the liver fire will lead to pain and swelling of the eyes.
