on the 7th day AFTER MASTURBATION

7th day of abstinence following masturbation, yeah. They didn't masturbate on the 7th day then take the readings did they?

"On the 7th day of abstinence, however, a clear peak of serum testosterone appeared, reaching 145.7% of the baseline"

Care to address any of the other points I raised?

No masturbation, no T increase. That is the conclusion, that is the natural cycle.

Abstinence is no less stupid and unnatural than fasting that everyone here frowns upon. We are meant to eat and fcuk. Everything else is a decor that we made up once our brain got ahead of itself. Orgasm is like nothing else in this world, it is the most amazing thing in universe, the nature created it so that everyone would want to do it, and do it often, for us long as he could. Arguing against jerking off with prolactin is like arguing against consuming food because you can choke on it. Excretion of semen is what makes a man, without it you're just a being.

The OP didn't express any zinc depletion concerns, he wants to get hard so that he can f*#k the sh*t out of the girl in bed next to him, so that he can relive the greatest please nature has given us. Zinc debate or advice on how to insert limp is probably not what he's looking for.

Btw I can fully sympathize @Levator with the performance anxiety, which is a vicious circle. Sadly you will only get over this after a few successful wild f*#ks. No other way around it. How to get there? Load up on energy, load up on sugar. Find someone who will drive you crazy, someone so good at f@*king that you will imagine having sex with her even while jerking off, instead of porn. If a girl doesn't want to blow you or she only blows because you talked her into it, replace her. You need someone who will crave and worship your c*@k and won't get enough of it.

Jerk off with confidence, but keep porn in a completely separate box from your real life sex. F*@king while watching porn to get aroused, or watching porn before f%@king will blend the two and create more dysfunction. Trust me on that.

Thanks! I'll try to lay of the porn (it's just a bad habit anyway). So when masturbating I will get hard at the beginning (not that fast as before), and then the erection will stay a min or two before it shrinks and will stay like this the rest of the session. Its like the sexual desire or horniness is lower than usual.

I will focus on relaxing, getting enough sleep, enough food and continue exercising. Also getting enough zinc and magnesium, as I think I didn't take zinc the last months and did a lot of endurance training.

But should I try some DHEA again? I have 25 mg tablets available and different herbs like horny goat weed, pycnogenol and citrulline.

In typical porn induced ED, guys still get solid erections with the right type of porn, but struggle with the more subtle stimulation of an actual woman. If you're getting weaker erections even when using porn, you should lay off the porn, but there's probably also a low metabolism / poor peripheral blood flow issue going on.

What is your normal body temperature? Do you often have cold hands or feet?

@JohnA You could also make an argument that if the porn turns you on but the real woman doesn't, it's time to replace the woman. I like all kinds of crazy porn genres yet it doesnt compare to having a sweet, smooth, horny **** bent in front of me. No porn I watch can match that. Its not that the porn is weak, its the **** being so good.

As i said, in my case the cause of ED was with certainty low carb. But I dont like the fact the most ED debates typically refuse to acknowledge the woman could be the problem. I mean, on the primal, fundamental level, social norms and political correctness asside, what comes to mind as a number one solution if a woman doesnt give you a hard on? Find one that does.

I agree that the OP's ED is likely caused by some metabolic dysfunction (e.g. low carb in your case), but the issue with your "hot girl lying next to me is better than porn" argument is that porn is a supernormal stimulus.

The book "Why We Get Sick" talks about how geese think that tennis balls look more like eggs than actual eggs do. If given the choice, geese will sit on the tennis ball instead of the actual egg and let the chick die. I agree that you would expect your brain to be more excited by a real girl vs. some pixels on your tiny iPhone screen. But because of the incredibly stimulating novelty of porn, having ten tabs open at once, fast forwarding to favorite positions, watching increasingly kinky/fetish material, etc., your brain comes to view porn as more "sex-like" than actual sex.

In a healthy body, a porn-addicted brain should still be sufficiently aroused by normal sex to get a satisfactory erection. In a low metabolic state, however, sending sufficient blood flow to your penis so taxes the body that the porn-addicted brain only goes through the effort when viewing the supernormal stimulus of porn.

So even with porn and the regular masturbation routine doesnt give me the same erections like Im tired of doing it. When Im with my woman I often get "wet" and semi hard-ons when touching her, spooning and such. So its like I really want to get inside her but currently not available. I dont think Im colder then usual. But I have been eating less then usual the last months and lost some weight because of that and gotten leaner and eating low carb.

Another question: Can I make topical cream out of DHEA tablets?

Or is it something that I can buy? Im going to Indianapolis next week and wonder if I can buy topical DHEA, preg and such without prescription.

Finally someone on these forums who agrees with me on this!

it's not a good idea to masturbate. If you watch porn it's very difficult to masturbate without visualizing porn scenes.

There are many cultures where they do not masturbate.

If you have abundant sex with a partner this is no need to masturbate.

I believe that masturbation drains a man of much of his drive.

The people who get angry and pissed off at this secretly know it's true.

I'm not judging, but many men suffer from this and don't realize that it is getting in their way.

NoFap support groups abound, including here. I think the most important thing is to have a partner that you cuddle with and have sex with very often.

Although this may be true for some people, it's definitely not true for everyone.

There are many cultures where they do not masturbate.

This doesn't make masturbation unhealthy.

If you have abundant sex with a partner this is no need to masturbate.

There's never a "need" to masturbate. Just like there's never a need for orange juice. People do it because they want to.

I believe that masturbation drains a man of much of his drive.

If by "drive" you mean "sex drive" then sure, of course, masturbation relieves this. If you mean some other drive, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

The people who get angry and pissed off at this secretly know it's true.

I'm not aware of anyone who's getting angry/pissed off by this topic, but I am sure that masturbation makes many people more chill and relaxed.

I'm not judging, but many men suffer from this and don't realize that it is getting in their way.

I think it's more likely that may men believe they're suffering from "it" but are actually suffering from something else. And those of us who happily masturbate/watch porn are sighing in disbelief.

NoFap support groups abound, including here. I think the most important thing is to have a partner that you cuddle with and have sex with very often.

The few things I've read in the NoFap section of Reddit have convinced me that these peoples' problems go much, much deeper than anything sex related. Even the NoFap "success stories" don't sound healthy to me.

+1, I had a solid one month nofap experience which actually lowered my sex drive.

My guess is that the fapping dopamine feedback wiring loop is weakened, which means that the anticipation dopa reward is actually lower and thereby reduces your overall urge.

I have always found that my androgen levels have correlated positively with fapping, ie theres a reason why i fapped much more as a teenager than i do now.

Also when im sick or depressed, my urge to fap is much lower.

Having said that overdoing it will reduce your overall drive as well, ie morning boners are more frequent if you fap less

Have you looked into pelvic floor health (squats etc..)? It sounds like they could be very tensed (wet before being fully hard). I'd guess you have bad masturbation habit (= technique) , try to pay attention to how you breathe and how your pelvic muscles and all your body (abs, legs..) when you fap or have sex. Then if you're dieting , losing weight and eating low carb that could be the main reason

This is all true in my experience. Some people will defend masturbation until they're blue in the face.

People are much happier taking a supplement to lower cortisol/prolactin than stop masturbating, which is shown to raise both of these.

In my experience it keeps it elevated for a few days, I remember haidut saying similar things as well. He said sex raises it higher but it drops quicker while masturbation is a longer elevation of prolactin. Of course then people masturbate the following day and if they have poor thyroid health that struggles to control prolactin then you have chronically elevated prolactin ...

Men indulging in chronic masturbation is a very modern phenomena.
I think it's one reason why western men are so weak and pathetic nowadays.

Up until 1950 or so, many physicians, not just priests and other religous folks, warned against masturbation.
You can find many monographs on this issue. There is a reason for that.
