Your body needs amino acids and its wasting away your muscle to provide for this need.

Obviously increase protein, but animal protein makes you feel bad...what gives?

1)Try seafood, like shrimp, oysters, clams, scallops, white fish like cod

2)Try eating cheese or milk

3) Make your own potato protein soup and drink large amounts of this (time consuming and expensive, but may be your safest health bet)

4)Eat some legumes (not ideal or peaty, but they are a protein source)

5)Supplement protein powder (casein ideally, if that makes you feel bad, try vegan protein powders)

Or if keen to remain vegetarian, find a way to increase calories from 2500 to 3200+.

More of what you are already eating, or maybe add other denser foods,
eg. coconuts, coconut milk or coconut butter, , chocolate, dates, dried fruit, maybe the occasional avocado ...
