Heal A TMJ/muscle Fibrosis

Hi everyone,

it has been 4-5 years since I have some fibrosis in the right TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint, jaw joint) and in some neck muscles around the area, because of stress/depression.
My doctors said I had to do some stretching of these areas, and after stress, depression etc would be gone it would be better.

But 4-5 years after, depression and anxiety etc totally healed since a couple of years, I still have fibrosis which is linked with my tinnitus on the same side of the TMJs. The fibrosis is lighter but still intense enough to annoy me.

One major problem occured from that: this right side of the jaw has not really grown since all these years. I was still young and developping, and now my left jaw is way bigger/healthier looking than the right side. When I touch it, the left side under the TMJ is like 30% longer, and the bone is way bigger, like 40% more volume. The right side of my face is also thinner (like 1-2cm) and again looks more tired, unhealthy than the normal left side. Moreover, my occlusion is really crap on the right side, eventhough I had a orthodontic treatment for 2 years now and still have brackets to correct that for more than a year.

So, I do really think that fibrosis and my jaw growth are linked, but of course i'd like to have some opinions/ideas. I was wondering how I could help that, and maybe get my jaw back to its normal growth, and btw heal that crappy occlusion that my treatments with 2 specialists is barely improving even after years.

Help would be so hugely appreciated... Thanks !

When I hear the word fibrosis, I immediately think of systemic enzymes, since one of their effects is to break up fibrotic tissue. Women have great success with reducing cysts and fibrotic tissue from C-sections, etc. I am not suggesting it is a cure for TMJ, but if fibrosis is part of any condition, I think systemic enzymes will have a positive impact.

I have undergone a years-long orthodontic treatment in my teens, and I think it may have actually worsened rather than improve my TMJ.

It was only when I was 30 and found out about orthotropics that I began to correct it.

This exercise has improved my TMJ a lot:

Also make sure to do regular mewing. It has helped with my TMJ too. Here is a handy guide:

Hey @milk I followed your threads on your impacted wisdom teeth and I have a similar situation. What ended up happening? Did the cypro allow them to emerge aligned?

My wisdom teeth stopped moving after a while. They emerged after I began taking cypro, but now I'm taking about 12 mg cypro every day and it's having no effect on my wisdom teeth. They do move when I stop drinking coffee, though.

I don't know man, if they begin to move again my plan is just to let them do their thing and see what happens, hoping I will not lose any molars in the process.

absolutely. OP look into both serrapeptase and nattokinase. Drs Best makes a good version.
