I can't answer your question, but thanks for sharing this. It's very interesting. I wish that it didn't take so long for new drug treatments to get approved. If they aren't harmful or they don't have harmful side-effects, I'm not sure why doctors shouldn't be allowed to give them to people who could benefit. From what I could read suramin doesn't have any particularly dangerous side effects, certainly no more than your every day OTC stuff.
