I know it can be corrected by prescription glasses but in my case I have been told while being checked that my eyes
do not accept the correction for it due to many years living with this inverse astigmatism.
Weather that is true or their technical limitations during the consultation I do not know.

Has anyone had eye surgery for astigmatism?
If so how was it after?
Does the issues go away forever?

If they are successful it should fix it, i don't know the success rate. But it is also probably possible to fix it without surgery through fascial tension unwinding. Just like some forms of surgery (corneal limbal relaxing incisions) where they cut the eye to release improper tensions, you can also do this by unwinding the imbalanced tensions from the muscles controlling the eye.
