Niacinamide above RDI gets quickly degraded and excreted as methylated niacin metabolites in the urine. High dose niacinamide will probably help people with overmethylation due to methyl pool depletion, but it will not necessarily help because of NAD+ synthesis.
I think glycine is a better endogenous methyl buffer, without the risk of undermethylating. Methylation is critical for liver health as well.
