Valeu, Dedé! :joyful:

Fatty Acid and Cholesterol Concentrations in Usually Consumed Fish in Brazil

Total PUFA:
Sardines - 0.02g
Whiting (tut) - 0.03g
Robalo - 0.07g
Namorado - 0.08g

These values are so low that they shouldn't have bothered with ratios.

There's no way the Sardines value is correct.

I have sardines (canned only in WATER) in my refrigerator right now and there's 6g of fat in a 56g serving which is almost the entire can.
The can advertises 1300mg of Omega-3 per can.

6g Fat of which
-2g Saturated Fat
-1.3g PUFA (Omega 3)
-Tiny amount of Omega-6
-2.5g+ MUFA?

It's possible they're talking about another fish in the Sardine family species.

I like to pan fry my white fish in several tablespoons of olive oil. I wonder if I'm worse off doing this than just eating something like oven roasted salmon?

Sardine - Wikipedia (Sardinella brasiliensis)
The composition must be correct, I checked from various sources and they all more or less do the coincidings.

That makes sense that Brasilensis a different type of sardine, since Brasilensis is not the "standard" type of sardine you would find in canned seafood in the US and Europe. The US/European Sardines are much higher in fat.
