Dr. Hans Vink discusses his system of testing capillary health, talking about the glycocalyx, which is a gel-like substance that lines the inner layer of our capillaries and protects our capillaries. Among other things, he mentions how those who have good glycocalyx in place have outstanding survival rates with COVID-19.

Dr. Tom Lewis considers this discovery by Dr. Vink to be a major milestone in medicine.

Glycocalyx always seemed to me like a minute brush-border type extension of endothelium - anything which improves endothelial function: lifestyle, diet, supplements, glycation/inflammation also likely working on glycocalyx

Always interesting to see things like this gives better understanding but to me it's ultimately just drilling down further to sell something new

Comes down to whether you can benefit from the test. If you can't appreciate the benefit, you don't take the test. Unlike you, I can see the benefit and I'm willing to pay for such a test if it can give me information on my microvessel health do that if I see it to be suboptimal I can take remedial action to improve it.

You've been sold too many useless things you can't tell useful from useless anymore.

Why not just take preventative action? Lower estrogen and inflammation. take aspirin, lysine, and ascorbic acid. Eat enough copper and cut down on iron and pufa?
Maybe, maybe a PDE5 like cialis(sp).
Your capillary health is visible via ED in men, and varicose veins imho.
Like many things in medicine this test highlights a symptom.

If that works for you, you can run with it.

I feel that even with the best testing available to monitor results, it's still not a slam dunk. I want to increase my probability of success and having reliable tests helps me towards that end.
