Hello everyone.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Ok, so I have a question related to anxiety.
Last week I went to my otolaryngologist, because for the last 5 years I was progressively losing my sense of taste.
Last year I completely lost it.
After a few exams, he detected nasal polyps.
He prescribed me Glucocorticoids, with the active ingredient Deflazacort.
Now the strangest part comes next, after starting the treatment my anxiety levels were massively reduced...how can this be possible ???
I don't know the mechanisms of Glucocorticoids, but does this mean that my GAD is provoked by some kind of chronic inflammation ?
Does my nasal polyps inflammation can cause excessive cortisol release leading to a state of chronic inflammation ?
Can anyone shed some lights ? Can this even be possible ?
I never felt so calm and relaxed, like I'm feeling now...
It's just incredible, and the best part is that I've regained taste.
Thank you so much.
