Obviously I can just use a topical antifungal, but is fungal acne a sign of fungal overgrowth or dysregulation on the inside as well?

And what can be done about it?

I have dandruff as well, probably also caused by malassezia.

Some things to try:
- Carrot salad daily. Start day with some coconut oil. Try some activated charcoal.
- Some further antimicrobials may be needed, haiduts camphosal, oregano oil, and some others.
- Increasing b vitamins and vitamin a can help, and adequate thyroid function. Zinc also needed for healthy skin.
- Haidut's tocovit and castor oil are both very effective topically.
- Tocovit also very effective sublingually and methylene blue sublingually.
- Topical aspirin or sulfur soap could be worth trying.
- An antibiotic such as minocycline or flowers of sulfur taken internally.
- An over-the-counter neomycin lotion for topical use.

Wash your skin with Nizoral shampoo. There are other products that should be even more effective than Nizoral but it should be effective on its own.
