I'm jeaous! Are those huge soursops?

There isn't much in life I want/need, but fruit is one of them! I've recently been thinking about setting up a greenhouse and heating it in the winter so that I can grow tropical fruits. I've discovered that a greenhouse near me sells some tropical plants. 4 varieties of mango (including a few that do well as a dwarf tree), soursop, sugar apple, red custard apple, persimmon, pawpaw, papaya, etc. Pretty neat because I live in Canada! Growing good fruit would be a dream.

Man, I have always been interested in actually trying all of these south/central american tropical fruits. I live in southern california, so you'd think we would ahve access to them somewhere, considerring the people here have to be >50% latino. Still, I can't find them anywhere. I saw sapotes at my commercial supermarket but they were exorbitantly priced at 10$/lb. I know a farmers market in Malibu that sells guavas, which taste good but has many seeds, and are reasonably priced (strange considerring everything else goes for 3x the market value down there)

Wonderful Gilson, very much like here in Belize...soursop (Graviola) growing all over my yard as part of my anti cancer arsenal

I think I saw a chirimoya. That's a soursop, right? Or a paw-paw? Or a sapote? Sugar-apple? :chicken:
