Good interview from Jean-Francois Toussaint.
He is a professor of physiology at the University of Paris and director of IRMES.
The French are getting frustrated, they are good when it comes health and hygiene during flu seasons, they dress appropriate during the seasons also, it was no surprise they initially respected lockdowns. In general they respect authority because they agree with it in most cases, the problem arises when they don’t.
There was a backlash in Marseille because of Paris trying to lock them down mainly from politicians and business owners.
This is one country that will explode in a matter of hours, once something takes hold the public are relentless. They become highly organized and target those directly responsible, they become extremely difficult to divide.
If they keep shutting businesses particularly the hospitality industry it won’t end well.
