I saw a silverfish today.

It was upside down.

It was moving every limb and antenna as fast as it could to get right side up again.

I saw it for about a whole minute, but who knows how long it was in that state before I saw it.

There was no hint of slowing down, no hint of "accepting its fate" and stopping its efforts.

It got right side up again and then calmly went about its business.

A silverfish probably doesn't feel despair. A good trait to have ;)

This is a reason why cyproheptadine or anti serotonin things work for us to be better.

I used to have those in a dingy apartment. Hated them. Like the anecdote though.

When you have a nice place, it is an open invitation for silverfish, ants, roaches, eats, cats, and dogs. They will thrive, and so will you.
