I am looking to use Fluoxetine to increase my Allopregnanolone levels. I am a male. I found this study on Pubmed:
Fluoxetine elevates allopregnanolone in female rat brain but inhibits a steroid microsomal dehydrogenase rather than activating an aldo-keto reductase.
This is my first post here, so I can't post links. This is a direct quote from the key results in that study:
''Short-term treatment with fluoxetine increased brain allopregnanolone concentrations in female, but not male, rats.''
What do you guys think?
