Saw Palmetto inhibits cholesterol I believe causing issues with 3-keto-HSD from FairPlay on here earlier. It also inhibits aromatase. Most post-SP cases deal with low estrogen sides versus high estro sides in fin PFS.
That's not true , pfs isn't a homogeneous group , you've got people dealing with low estrogen , others with estrogen dominance , people with hypogonadal T , others with T in the upper range , people with sexual sympthoms as their only issues , others only have cognitive or physical sympthoms , some with the full blown pfs ect .... , no correlation can be drawn as every case is different , in my opinion finasteride ( and other 5ar drugs ) was just a trigger , this condition can be triggered by anything that inhibits dht to a certain point and it hits everyone of us differently , if you take 1000mg of zinc per day ( natural 5ar inhibitor) you'd likely get the same effects you've got from 5ar drugs , our body/brain just can't handle the blockage of the 5ar enzyme for some unknown reasons .

minerals and acido amins have nothing to do with that , in my humble opinion it's more to do with an imbalance in the neuroendocrine activity , all theses sympthoms you mentioned stem from the nervous system ; the gut bacteria are likely involved in that too , check your endocrine panel first , then consult a gastro-intestinal infection specialist to find out on whether you have some parasites

I have all of these symptoms. I was at least able to stop restless leg (and lots of inflammation) with Low dose naltrexone. But when I stop LDN the RL and inflammation starts again.

From what I read it could be pyroluria and/or adrenal fatigue. Parasites could also play a role as madis stated. I checked for parasites couple times and took anti parasites many times. But never changed anything for me personally.

I have pyroluria. Probably developed from 14 mercury fillings that got drilled out within 3 months and without any protection around 2008. I did lots of dmsa/dmps in the last years wich helped A LOT. Without I would probably be in wheelchair already. Amalgame is pure poison.

thanks @madis l and @Unknownuser

my endocrine panel corresponds to low LH symptoms. low T, low DHT and low oestrogen, low vitamin D. I'm following the protocol of JoeKool since 2 weeks, libido improved, but nothing on the nerve and muscle issues.

I searched for pyroluria, but I couldn't find many symptoms linked to this nerve pain etc. But maybe the parasites or leaky gut could be a cause for this issue. How did you check this or what kind of tests did u do exactly?

I did the keac.nl 24h urine test, wich showed pretty elevated levels. unfortunately I can not take zinc, because it makes me crash. Zinc is one the most important component of the treatment. I lost tons of zinc and copper the last 10 years due to chelation with dmps/dmsa. Wich causes histamine intolerance because copper is needed to built DAO. Unfortunately copper is also an 5ar inhibitor. If I take zinc and copper I crash. İf not, I suffer from other things. İt's all an endless downward spiral. That's why I keep saying I am not a usual pfs case. So dont put me in the "failed hcg treatments" list.

this might sound controversial but I wouldn’t get too caught up in things that ‘inhibit 5ar’ because the list is endless and most of them benefit the body in many other ways. Their is a huge difference between foods that inhibit 5ar vs isolated supps and meds that block 5ar. With Copper, are you saying that supplementing copper in isolated forms causes you crashes? Or are you finding food sources high in copper problematic? I’m not saying your wrong I’m just speaking from personal experience that isolated supplements in particular zinc and copper are problematic but I think for different reasons not 5ar reasons. I don’t think it’s wise to deprive your body of any mineral.

I dont mean zinc or copper rich food. I mean supplementation. I took zinc in higher doses in April this year because I read its needed to heal leaky gut. 50mg daily for 6 weeks. I had very weak erections and complete loss of libido. Of course it's hard to tell if zinc did that. I dont know about copper. I only remember I read on propeciahelp that copper is a very strong 5ar inhibitor.

A question that bothers me is, pre hcg I felt better than now. More aggressive. Felt more like a man. More confident. More motivated. But also emotionally better balanced. Probably because I was able to cry for a couple seconds once or twice in a month, wich helped me to balance my emotions and feel self love. I feel like a robot ever since I started hcg. I cant feel any self love anymore, wich causes more and more confidence issues. Difficult to describe. But its like I only live in my head now while before I had a connection to my emotions and self.

I wonder if external hcg caused a drop in my own T production? Maybe my LH was higher than this 250ui I inject, so that lowered my own T since my own LH forced more T production than these 250ui. Is that possible?

I will add TRT soon. I plan 12.5mg daily or 25mg EOD and continue hcg. That should be the range of a 20 years old healthy young mens own production.

How long did you follow the protocol for? I think the small doses shouldn’t massively effect your own LH production at least not on a long term basis but I’m still learning about it. Libido and feeling manly aren’t always the best indicators of high testosterone (from my understanding at least), So many other hormones and neurotransmitters at play that can create these feelings (Or switch them off). I have had very very high Testosterone (Doctors were frustratingly congratulating me) since PFS began and for most of it not felt a normal libido or feeling like a man. From my experience and seemingly others I would best avoiding supplementing zinc and copper, neither of them give the desired results and often the opposite. I feel for you though... that disconnection is not nice, I felt that a lot in my PfS journey. I found Cypro much better for improving digestion and also giving clearer emotions and thoughts (But certainly not on the first attempt at taking them) and in all honesty I don’t fully understand why that works. I would stay away from ‘propecia help’ at all costs, I swear that place does more harm than good and puts already emotionally unstable people in a worse place by creating a ‘doomsday’ mentality.

Dear Brothers, I am very happy to inform you, that I saw a new Urologist today which prescribed me hCG right after about 30 minutes of talking. I will start with 2 x 500 u.i. per week and will have a check-up after 3 months. I am so glad to finally have found someone that is willing to help after all. I will start in about 3 days and will of course update you regularly. Kind Regards

Hey stopfin, I actually had the same, still have a little elevated creatine-kinase. I haven‘t had nerve pain though, but sport helped me a lot here.

Anyone else on TRT and this protocol? I'm a little over two weeks on the OP's (.25 ml, MWF), and I feel a very slight yet almost undetectable shift in my baseline brain-fog (for the better). To reiterate, I'm on 200mg of compounded T-cream applied ED to the scrotum for 1.5 years now. Sleep and midday fatigue slightly improved.

If it’s almost undetectable it may just be a placebo effect. I hope it’s making a real impact, but when changes are so minute we have to question whether they’re not just in our minds.

I often thought that but then if you really think about it... if the shift is happening in our minds then one of two things are happening... 1. You are physiologically changing for the better (hormones, neurotransmitters etc) or 2. It’s psychological and you are changing your perspective and outlook to something positive. Either way it should be seen as a positive. Even if ‘placebo’ Something is changing and that should be seen as a step in the right direction even if it’s a small one.

I suppose I agree with your point. That being said if one is of the nature to ‘believe’ that it’s making a difference (psychologically) you could argue that they should ideally start off with the absolute safest product available to minimise risk whilst reaping all the psychological benefits. Though I feel it may easier be said than done.

True, for certain your mental wellbeing should be considered as part of a complete package to beating this. Understanding the basics of the brain has really helped me but in my worst pfs state I had little to no ability to process things cognitively, the lack of balance in neurotransmitters (I suspect) causes different parts of the brain to engage more actively namely the ‘lizard brain’ which activates a flight freeze response and inability to be pragmatic. I think even the slightest increase in Allopregnanolone and calming neurotransmitters creates a whole different perspective and that is where I think HCG helps.

my first experience of this was microdosing St. John’s wort and experiencing a mini recovery, mental clarity and a mega sex drive(I don’t recommend this route). I suspect this does something similar to HCG in that regards but the thing I like about HCG is that it pushes the whole system.

I’ve blabbered on a bit, what I’m trying to say (from my experience) is that the psychological side of it eases with physiological help (Supplements, lifestyle changes and drugs that work for you) and once you reach a certain level of recovery the psychological (Understanding the mind) begins to aid the physiological. I think Initially you need that push from something like HCG to get you on that track though.

Hello @JoeKool - just wanted to say I'm about 1 month in. Mentally feeling better I must admit. As in, APPRECIABLE improvements. Going to stick out the 6 months and see where this gets me.

200iu M/W/F as per.

Hope everyone out there is doing good.
