Fermenting oats (aka sourdough oats) for better digestion.

Any one else given this a try? Have been preparing oats this way recently and they seem to be gentler on the digestive system. Worth a try!

Basically put oats in a glass jar and add water so they're completely covered. Let them sit for 24-48hrs. They get tangy like sourdough. I strain the water off and add milk ect. I don't cook them. Basically experience the benefits like increased bowel activity, satiety and deliciousness but I'm less aware of the fact that I've just eaten a bowel of oats. They don't sit heavy in the same way. Cooking might further add to the digestibility but I add raw milk so want to keep it raw. The last batch i added a teaspoon of Greek yogurt to the oats/water as it can supposedly speed up the fermentation process.
