Hey,

since 4g of fermented cod liver
has
8.000 IU Vitamin A,
1700 IU Vitamin D,
0.9g PUFA,
whereas eggs 100g, has 1,4g PUFA,
what's the point against fermented cod liver oil?

Sure, sun would be best,
but most likely there is too less of it in middle Europe through autumn, spring and winter.
Therefore I supplement with Carlsons liquid D, K.
Another thing I would like to know is if there would be any negative side effect by getting my carbs mainly from oranges and sucrose in the form of cane sugar.
I am often on the road so that I can't get Peat Fruits besides oranges.

It's the proportion of saturated fat to unsaturated fat in your diet to worry about

Ray Peat

So you could take cod liver oil with vitamin E and coconut oil and be okay

HOWEVER I would still avoid it

Yes, I read that coconut oil an Vitamin E mitigate the negative effects of PUFA.
I was just wondering what the deal is with cod liver oil since it has less than 1g PUFA whereas I get more PUFA from daily 2 eggs which I eat for the B vitamins.

By definition you can’t ferment oil. The oil is rotten, and deodorized. It is a toxic coctail of rancid, oxidized fats and no amount of saturated fat changes that.
