What would be the mechanism? Would it be a good thing or a bad thing?
FDA Approves Experior for Reduction of Ammonia Gas Released from Beef Cattle Waste

The chemical is "lubabegron" and it says that it reduces ammonia excretion by cattle in their manure. So, that ammonia much go somewhere but the article does not mention where, except to say that it was not found to be harmful to the cows and does not increase their growth. So, the only option that remains is that it gets converted to urea and then the cows piss it out. Not sure if this is better than excreting ammonia, but I suppose it is safer for us.

I wonder how this would effect the soil the cows graze on.

Graze...LOL! Unfortunately in America meat animals don’t graze. They CAFO.

I think most cows in the US graze for the first 8 or so months of their life and are then transferred to feedlots to fatten up. They don't send them to CAFO's from day 1.
