Facebook sensors gone to far? Last week I posted some covid videos and the next day

Last week I posted some covid videos and the next day couldn't sign into my account, had to change my password with some difficulty. A couple days ago I posted a couple more Covid videos. Last night someone was able to hack into my account from Maryland, USA (according to Facebook) and send several people including women in my community a porn video. While facebook realized the inappropriate video had been sent and I had been hacked, no effort was made to remove the video for 16 hours or more.

It seems odd that someone was able to sign in from a different location than normal, usually that would be blocked. Also while facebook has admitted I was hacked they still suspend me for 3 days for "violating community standards" And I cannot even apologize to the people sent the video or send messages.

Based on the timing that the covid videos were posted and the hacking I can't help but think it was facebook posting the porn videos! And based on what's been happening in the world the last 18 months I'm convinced this is the case.

Would facebook censors stoop this low?

I can see it being someone who works at FB, I guess just be thankful it was not child porn. apologise to your friends when your account is back, and then damn well close it and move to some other platform. i am loving this forum. FB is so bad for us, i can feel my blood pressure rise when i am on it. I mainly only use it now as a messenger app and try not to get pulled in with all the other crap it has.

yes I will stop using it so regularly, I have already been shadow banned long ago so barely anyone sees my posts anyway. I would like to keep my fb network of 1000 people though, might come in handy.

I'm having a hard time quitting Facebook, but I have been posting stuff that I later delete. I think this may be a first step to quitting it entirely, but it's certainly is addictive. I'm just not up for the debates any longer. It does not seem that we are changing anyone's mind there. It's certainly is an exercise of futility and a waste of time, if not harmful to our psyche.

I agree, an exercise in futility. Better to have discussions here.
