Yeah this is a really good point.. what is the actual cause of it. I can tell you, I have eaten a lot of sugar in the past, or carbs in the past (starch) that *should* lower cortisol, but did not, it actually did the opposite effect and seemed to increase it based on hair shedding or caused more digestive problems. Think people who just get on the ray peat diet only to see their shedding, fungus, other problems go up 10 fold instead of down. I feel like Ray's entire philosophy is based around starch or loaded carbs that aren't fast digesting leading to bacterial overgrowth, and said bacterial overgrowth will lead to further inhibition of steroid hormones.

Constipation seems to be synonymous with MPB... said bacteria stuck in the colon could be for the rise of cortisol?

Vitamin d vitamin D and also eat three meals a day. Don't skip meals. Skipping meals affects kidney and circadian clock. You can also try out herbs and spices to spice up variety in your food.

Travis was right, blocking only cortisol can produce hair growth.
