This is very interesting as it is different from the huge acute fose of baking soda. I do wondrr if the increased sodium is responsible for the benefits, does it compensate for the sodium loss from exercise? If it is co2 from carbonate or the positive roles of alkaline minerals, then potassium carbinate could be worth a try as well. Their study showed Calcium carbonate didn't work though.
