In one of his recent newsletters, as well several KMUD interviews, Peat mentioned that the effects of GMO foods and other environmental toxins would not be immediately visible. In fact, they would take several generations to manifest and by the say third, forth, fifth generations we would start seeing things like sterility, cancer, neurodenegerative disease, CVD, etc. Several other studies, that did not specifically look at pathological changes but simply the overall transgenerational effects of epigenetic changes, found that those effects can be passed on for at least 14 generations.

As a corroboration of the above, now a new study looked specifically at the ability of endocrine disruptors to cause autism (something public health authorities vehemently deny). It found that the well-known plastic-derived disruptor BPA is capable of causing autism in mice 3-4 generations after a specific generation of pregnant mice was exposed. For those who don't know, BPA is a known potent estrogen receptor agonist, androgen receptor antagonist, and thyroid receptor antagonist. One of the worst combinations of effects possible.

"...Transgenerational bisphenol A (BPA) exposure may contribute to autism, according to a mouse study published in the Endocrine Society’s journal Endocrinology. Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are chemicals or mixtures of chemicals that interfere with the way the body’s hormones work. BPA is a common EDC used in plastics and food storage material, and it is already present in most humans’ urine or blood. Animal studies have linked BPA to anxiety, aggression, and poor learning and social interactions. Studies of human populations report associations between BPA and neurobehavioral issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism.

“Exposure of mouse fetuses to BPA disrupts formation of nerve cell connections in the brain, and this is a transgenerational effect,” said the study’s senior author, Emilie F. Rissman, Ph.D., of University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va. and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. “To put this in human terms, if your great grandmother was exposed to BPA during her pregnancy and none of your other relatives ever came into contact with BPA, your brain would still show these effects.” In this mouse study, researchers tested mice descended from those exposed to BPA for social recognition and found that they showed a social behavioral deficient like autistic behavior. Mice whose great grandmothers were exposed to BPA during pregnancy were more active and took longer to habituate to strangers than other mice. More strikingly, they didn’t explore the new mice that were introduced to the group. Mice are very social and curious, so this is an exciting finding. “Even if we ban all BPA right now, that will not change these long-term effects on the brain,” Rissman said."

Some seriously scary stuff, i been so focused on PUFA depleting / reducing that i’ve been guzzling down tons of OJ in plastic containers and other things and sometimes forget about the other horribly toxic things in our food supply,

I think like myself alot of people seem to focus on PUFA too much and think everything is about PUFA (which maybe for a good portion it is)

However just looking at the effects of PUFA blocking thyroid, increasing estrogen cortisol, blocking androgens, it essentially shares almost all the negative features that PUFA has minus the prostaglandins etc.

So its almost like plastic is a PUFA so to speak in its own, if you define it by something thats massively littered in the entire food supply that accumulates in the tissues and chronically intereferes with metabolism.

Whats scary about this is because it has similar effects to PUFA, if one is consuming even a small amount of PUFA, the metabolic suppression from plastic would allow PUFA to accumulate easier in the tissues which is something i think i saw you mention,

It really does seem like plastic should be regarded in the same way as PUFA in the Peat world, however its far more difficult to avoid,

I like Ray’s one quote however, it was on an old podcast but he was explaining how he was thought it would be difficuly for someone to properly detox PUFA when its stored deep into the cholesterol esters,
But he mentioned he thinks progesterone, and related substances would have this chelating effect on all cells in the body of removing endocrine disruptors, PUFA included,

So it seems like aside from avoiding all these endocrine disruptors, most people looking to PUFA deplete / plastic deplete, should strongly consider taking thyroid and maybe some related hormones especially if their metabolic rate is extremely comprimised.

It also makes me wonder, if thyroid or keeping a high metabolic rate helps chelate endocrine disruptors, i wonder if exercising (in a pro-metabolic non destructive way) by increasing the metabolic rate would be a really good way to ensure the tissue levels of endocrine disruptors become depleted / stay low,
Exercise has been implicated to also have a sort of iron chelating effect by sweating through the skin, i wonder if the same could be said for BPA and related things? It would be interesting to explore because that would then bring up the ideas of occasional saunas as well, not sure what peats stance on saunas are, im assuming theyre likely beneficial as long as a person keeps their glycogen/electrolyte/mineral content up

Less time sniffing equals less time talking so less chance to have covid-19 so it is good. So rising BPA level in population was a preemptive strike against it. Nobody can understand how the elites are genius !
