Hello peaters,

I have enamel erosion on my frontal teeth. What are the causes of the erosion ? How can I built up or remineralise my teeth?
I have Hashimotos with fluctuating values. Every time too much t4 but good t3...

I have read that hyperthyroidism could be a cause of enamel erosion? Is that true?

Thanks for helping

Enamel is a flourophor protein. Which means it absorbs UV light. Again its the lack of sunlight.

From what i know all flourophor proteins absorb/re-emit only light in the UV range (i guess a bulb would do, but not red which is 600>nm. UV is 10-400nm)

I also have enamel erosion. My dentist showed it to me a few months ago. I don't have the timeline down pat, but it could be from using doxycyline. If so, it likely was from taking a liquid doxycline syrup. Perhaps if I took a capsule, it would not happen. Or maybe it still would. I came across this reading up on doxycyline, and its mention of enamel dysplasia got my attention: all_antibiotics [TUSOM | Pharmwiki]

Heads up, Peaters!
