Let there be light :)

Elevated light levels in classrooms have a significant effect on myopia onset, decreases in refraction, and axial growth; if the findings of lighting intervention are reproduced in future studies, the ambient light levels in schools should be improved.

Thanks. I thought the heading 'Elevated light levels in classrooms have a significant effect on myopia' meant light was bad for eyes!

The title of the paper is better: 'Elevated light levels in schools have a protective effect on myopia'.

Let's just hope the authorities don't take this to mean they can put LEDs with the massive blue spike in all classrooms. Then we'll have a generation of nearly blind kids... I'm only half joking.
