Ray advises not to use electric blankets due to high EMF output.
Some studies show that 20 years of continual electric blanket usage increases cancer rates by 30%+. However, these were not well controlled. It is also possible that people with low core body temperatures and low metabolism tend to use electric blankets.
However, I have quite bad insomnia and am frequently woken up due to outside temperature or body temperature dipping too low.
Having an electric blanket on a constant low heat seems like a good way to increase sleep efficiency. By making sure the temperature is constant throughout the night.
I could separate it from my body with a few layers.
Thoughts? I think it might improve sleep but I'm very concerned about EMF.
