I was eating eggplant salad from a Turkish/Greek place, and every time I swallowed, I'd have a sharp throat pain afterwards.
I tried eating other stuff, and the symptom stopped. After I started eating the salad again, it started again. I remember this happening before when I ate the same dish, from the same restaurant, on another occasion.
The eggplant salad was somewhat acidic, could that have been the problem? It may have been smoked/charred too. I know eggplant is a nightshade, and that may be an allergen/trigger for some. This incident was also before I discovered Peat, so I'd avoid the place due to PUFAs now.
My reason for posting: Any sort of possible explanation, or relevant experiences would be appreciated.
