Just some on my knuckles. Found it annoying and strange, but could not be arsed to care. It dissappeared eventually. I believe that either the healing process overcompensating or the faster metabolism had led to some minor deficiency. Hell, my skin in general aged pretty fast when I started peating, visually at least..

How did you manage to go fat free ?
The only way to go 100% fat-free is by preparing food in a lab setting.

What about this diet:

5 or 6 liters of 0% fat milk.

You would need to supplement some vitamins, especially fat soluble. If you have good iron stores, or supplement, I think you could go with that for a while.

I would say in almost fat free you would be missing fat solubles particularly Retinol that would cause hyperplasia

Why would there be a physiological difference between fat free and extremely low fat? Or even a total of a few grams of fat per day. A handful of forum members seem to have experimented with that on other threads... If you think in terms of PUFA depletion, then having say 0.1g per day instead of 0g merely means slightly more time to deplete. Actually I think on a first order consideration, less than a few dozens grams of ruminant fat is more or less the same metabolism as fat free (on storage, insulin, de novo lipogenesis, what cells are using, everything).

Where did you get that?

It was either an interview or article by Ray about George Burr's 1930's experimental determination of the essentiality of PUFAS.

Protein powders and maybe 0% milk sounds like preparing 'food' in a lab setting.

But at any rate, can you get 3000+ cals this way?

I'm eating 1kg of fruits and 400g of honey/day so I guess that I'm getting enough calories. But I'm not eating protein powder, just lean meat and gelatin.
