I was having a read on DHEA and noticed that a metabolite, 7-Keto DHEA, is sold as a dietary supplementary claimed to yield some DHEA benefit while avoiding to convert to estrogen or testosterone. It has a Wiki page which lists some studies. Is it just commercially biased science, or does that molecule really magically increase metabolism without the side effect of (excessive amounts of) DHEA?
