Don’t bet on vaccine to protect us from Covid-19, says world health expert

Coronavirus: Don’t bet on Covid-19 vaccine, says world health guru David Nabarro

LONDON : The threat of the coronavirus may linger “for the foreseeable future" because there’s no guarantee a vaccine can be developed, a leading expert on the disease has said, according to the UK’s Observer reported.

David Nabarro, professor of global health at London’s Imperial College and an envoy for the World Health Organization on Covid-19, offered the warning as the number of UK hospital deaths from the virus surpassed 15,000.

“Some viruses are very, very difficult when it comes to vaccine development - so for the foreseeable future, we are going to have to find ways to go about our lives with this virus as a constant threat," he said.

That means quarantining individuals with symptoms and their contacts, protecting older people and ensuring hospital capacity for coronavirus cases, he said. “That is going to be the new normal for us all," he said.

The latest toll doesn’t include deaths in care homes and the community. Critics have accused the British government of reacting too slowly to the pandemic.

If we find a vaccine for COVID-19, it will be the first time ever for coronaviruses
We've never made a successful vaccine for a coronavirus before. This is why it's so difficult

For those pinning their hopes on a COVID-19 vaccine to return life to normal, an Australian expert in vaccine development has a reality check — it probably won't happen soon.

The reality is that this particular coronavirus is posing challenges that scientists haven't dealt with before, according to Ian Frazer from the University of Queensland.

Professor Frazer was involved in the successful development of the vaccine for the human papilloma virus which causes cervical cancer — a vaccine which took years of work to develop...........

How could I "bet" on that anyway? All the casinos are closed right now.

Oh how convenient, let’s just keep the emergency police state legislation in place in the meantime, with no vaccine this killer virus can come back anytime you seeeeee......

Maybe the vaccine will be here just around the time we have used the emergency legislation to bypass referendums necessary for more European integration, basically top down rulers from Brussels , something that hasn’t a hope of being passed via referendum in euro countries ,whether you support that or not it would be delusional to think it will pass.

Watch the narrative coming now as restrictions ease, we failed the europhiles will say because we didn’t have enough power to act ,we need more power to overrule sovereign states, the WHO narrative will be similar ,more power to overrule sovereign states, to allow said powers you will need a referendum in normal times.

When the vaccine comes it will be no different to current flu vaccines, effective in some cases and not effective in many others, it will be narrated as a "cure" via the propaganda machine.

The vacc won,t have anything to do with providing protection from the virus, nor with "to return life to normal".
It,s going to be made for something else.

If you did not realize when this whole fiasco started that it is not about a virus but something else, then i have a bridge to sell. Quick, come and grab the offer before the agenda becomes too obvious! Soon.

Safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of a recombinant adenovirus type-5 vectored COVID-19 vaccine: a dose-escalation, open-label, non-randomised, first-in-human trial

"Eligible participants were healthy adults aged between 18 and 60 years, ..."

In this population a SARS-CoV-2 infection would be asymptomatic or mild.

In the trial however 81% had adverse reactions to the vaccine: fatigue, fever, muscle pain, head ache, impaired appetite , diarrhea ... 9 % had grade 3 (= severe) adverse reactions. The researchers concluded that the vaccine is "tolerable". A phase 2 trial in China is ongoing.

I would prefer a scratchy throat over muscle pain and fatigue. Not to mention the risk of increased pathology when later infected with any corona virus. How can they even consider to carry on with a phase 2 trial?

.....

Adverse event - Wikipedia
Clinical trial results often report the number of grade 3 and grade 4 adverse events. Grades are defined:
  • Grade 1 Mild AE
  • Grade 2 Moderate AE
  • Grade 3 Severe AE
  • Grade 4 Life-threatening or disabling AE
  • Grade 5 Death related to AE

The atrocious practices that constitute most modern scientific research have never been more on display, it seems. We've really reached a peak here.

This article in German reports on a vaccine trial with the AZD1222 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. The control group will receive a vaccine against meningococcus. So instead of comparing the vaccine with no vaccination, they compare it with a vaccine that is known to cause adverse effects in many of those vaccinated.

There are several meningococcus vaccines on the market. This is one of them:
Side Effects of Menomune (Meningococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine), Warnings, Uses
Giraffe. Could you please stop spreading these conspiracy theories? You are endangering everyone in the mental institution who are trying to live peacefully.

I still dont understand how This is legal. Didnt you post something similar recently? The results would not be trustworthy and hard to use in real life..

FIP is a coronavirus, and if I remember correctly, "wet" FIP, which is particularly deadly, comes with significant lung involvement. i wonder if anyone is looking at these things that may be beneficial in COVID19 and testing them out in cats.

Anyway, yeah, the veterinary industry has been trying to get coronavirus vaccines for years, with no results. Though it looks like they haven't given up, and are trying something with probiotics?
