Yeah incandescent bulbs are inefficient as a light source when compared to fluorescent or LED'S, but the quality of light is far superior, and in reality all the electricity which is "wasted" is in fact as wasted as the electricity used on heating is (such as for the entire house or a space heater).
For those in a climate which requires heating, incandescent bulbs are completely worth it. Nothing is wasted, you have to heat your house anyways, and it functions as a space heater.
Totally 100% worth it and all talk about inefficiency is imo a corporate conspiracy to switch to unhealthy sources of light which make companies a bigger profit.
Incandescent bulbs have tons of benefits and are actively good for you and completely replicate the healthy portion of natural light (and in fact improves upon it) while fluorescent lights and to a lesser extent LED's are actively bad for you.
